Checking out new blogging software the other day I bumped into the work of Craig Ward. I followed some links to his inspiring site, Words Are Pictures, where I found his Alphabet Cities series and this adaptation of Manhattan (center image). Which reminded me of Jenny Beorkrem’s series sold at Ork Posters (left image). I have her Brooklyn print waiting at home for a frame. And then, right before I posted these two yesterday, I remembered the poem Howard Horowitz created a decade ago (right image), and was printed in the New York Times. Three very different typeset maps of Manhattan.
