pop therapy with george michael
Tonight after a very long day, in what already feels like a really long week, I found myself uninterested in all the Academy screeners and instead popped in my George Michael dvd. From his tongue-in-somewhere “Outside” all the way to the floppy haired 80’s, I’ve been vegging to to George’s pop videos. Pop bliss.
I’ve always held a little heartache that America never forgave George and that he stopped touring over here. But at least he’s back in our country thanks to producers of “Eli Stone“. It amuses me to no end that somehow a show that names its episodes after George’s songs made it to prime-time network tv. That, and they cast Victor Garber and Loretta Divine. That’s some gay sensibility.
Check out the clip from Episode 1, when Eli first discovers George in his head living room.
Tomorrow night’s episode: “Father Figure.”And the following week: “Wake Me Up Before You Go Go.”
Awesome. Or, as Geoge would say, “Amazing.”
