hollywood descends on the castro

Despite the really really rainy winter, the Milk production team is hard at work transforming our little queer epicenter back to it’s 70s-era self. Kinda like a queer Colonial Williamsburg, only with out the the reanactors.
I stopped by yesterday morning and took a few shots in between raindrops that I will post tomorrow. In the meantime, if you don’t live around here, the vintage makeover is being well documented on flickr.

And if you live in the area, Milk is looking for extras. Next Monday and Friday they are recreating night marches for Harvey. I hope to be there Friday night. Want to join me?
UPDATE: It seems I was a bit too slow to commit to the march and they are no longer taking volunteers. I will, however, drop by and to see the filming if anyone wants to join me.
