and kate hearts todd.you should have seen me yesterday all giddy like i was meeting the beatles. todd dropped by pixar to give a talk on his new charley harper monograph. i don’t have the cash to drop on the jawdropping book, but i had todd’s “handmade modern” in my office along with my collection of readymade magazines.todd sweetly signed my book, a readymade, and a paint chip for a friend. he was just as charming and wonderful as i had expected. one of those moments when meeting your idols doesn’t disappoint.and for added kisses i got to meet the crew at readymade who are equally inspiring. they passed on to me the new issue and invited me to stop by the office just down the way in berkeley.i was in design heaven.here’s another little slice of heaven. susan sarandon helping todd spruce up some sheets. i count myself as a proud member of her “diverse demographic.”
