indigo girls at the Rio
a photo i wish i had taken.
i too saw the girls recently. last saturday night at the fillmore in san francisco. as usual, the girls rocked out. and not one, not two, but three rare tunes… land of canaan, romeo & juliet, midnight train to georgia. the last of which i have never heard live. i used to have this long list of songs that i wanted to hear them play live. i thought hearing “mona lisas and mad hattters” would be the ultimate. but hearing “midnight” live just topped. life is now complete.
the one bummer of the show was that oaktown local julie wolf was off playing with cris williamson saturday night and therefore wasn’t able to join in. it appears from indigospike’s photos that she played some other west coast dates with the girls. julie used to tour with ani and most recently with dar williams. and since she’s from here, she tends to pop up at all of the local shows for ani, dar and ig.
