proud to be a Virginian
Since moving to the Bay Area, I have felt more in touch with my Southern roots then all my years livng there.
Today I drove to work a proud Virginian, happy that my embarassingly conservative RED home state had elected its second Democratic governor in a row. Congratulations Tim Kaine. And a big Congratulations to the state, for not succombing completely to the Radical Right. There’s still a lot of work to do over there, but this is huge.
And in an effort to celebrate my Virginia pride… I’m hosting the first local Serpentine Society bar night this Thursday for all local queer UVA alumni. Wahoowa.
