tonight i had a date with my tivo and caught up some things (namely fast forwarding through the dull emmys and very flawed reunion) including some old daily show episodes. i was so pleased to find kurt vonnegut as the guest… vonnegut readers, those who love him, tend to love him a lot. i know he had a profound influence on me in middle school. it was because of him that i had the handle “dresden5″… way back when people were still using prodigy. those were the days.

i’ll never forget reading bluebeard in the car on the way to ohio, chasing after the girl i thought i loved, she was in fact the one that introduced me to you.
i used to want to get “kilgore” on my license plate when i would be old enough to drive. only these were clinton/gore years living in the suburbs of dc. i thought it would have been misinterpreted.
